8 地動之秋
ONE FINE OCTOBER day when I was still inprimary school our desks started to tremble and shake.
10月一個晴朗的日子，當時我還在讀小學，忽然感覺我們的課桌椅開始劇烈地搖晃、晃動起來。
Our classes were still mixed at that age,and all the boys and girls yelled, ‘Earthquake!’We ranoutside as we had been taught to do.
因爲年紀還小，我們都還是男女合班上課。男孩女孩們都開始大叫地震了，邊喊邊往外跑，就像學校平時教導我們的一樣。
All the children gathered around ourteachers as chicks swarm to a mother hen.
所有的孩子都聚在老師們的身旁，像是小雞在尋求母雞的保護。
Swat lies on a geological fault line and weoften had earthquakes, but this felt different.
斯瓦特坐落在一條地質斷層帶上，所以這裏經常發生地震，但這次的地震不太尋常。
All the buildings around us seemed to beshaking and the rumbling didn’t stop.
