A political advisor to Shanghai's legislation will be proposing the establishment of a cooling-off period for marriage registration to the city's annual legislation and political advisory sessions scheduled for late January, according to Shanghai-based online news portal The Paper.
據上海在線新聞門戶網站澎湃新聞報道，上海一名政協委員計劃在定於1月底舉行的代表大會會議和政治協商會議上建議設立婚姻登記冷靜期。

上週四，上海中倫律師事務所合夥人（co-partner）徐姍姍在上海律師協會的一次會議上透露了她的提案（proposal）。
徐姍姍建議，保障婚前配偶知情權（protect the right to know of couples before marriage），大力倡導婚前醫學檢查（advocate premarital medical examination），探索建立婚姻登記異議期（marriage registration objection period）。
徐姍姍說，婚前沒有做強制性的婚前檢查（compulsory premarital examination before marriage），實際上，對於雙方真實信息的瞭解（truly knowing the background of one another）非常有必要，不然會出現婚姻無效的情況。
此外，會議期間，徐珊珊還建議上海自貿區（free trade zone）引進可以冷凍女性卵子（freeze female eggs）的設施。
