BEIJING — Chinese capital city of Beijing on Sunday officially kicked off the winter heating season with centralized heating coverage reaching 895 million square meters, according to the Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Management.

北京消息：據北京市城市管理委員會消息，中國首都北京於週日正式啓動冬季供暖季，集中供熱面積預計達到8.95億平方米。

winter heating season是冬季供暖季。
其中，居民供熱面積（residential heating area）約6.28億平方米（square meters）。
北京市城管委供熱辦相關負責人介紹，北京在11月7日啓動供熱（heating supply）試運行（test run）。試供熱期間，3360座居民供熱區域鍋爐（heating boilers）房完成點火，點火率爲99.97%，較去年同期（the same period last year）有所提高。
市供熱單位進行入戶測溫，檢查供暖情況（check heating conditions）。居民家中室溫未達18℃（indoor temperatures fail to meet 18 C），可以撥打北京市供熱服務熱線（heating service hotline）。
