遊客“裸照”引發地震?

A troupe of Western tourists who posed nude on a "sacred" Malaysian mountain disrespected the site's spirits and caused an earthquake on the peak, the local government claimed.

馬來西亞政府認爲，一批西方遊客在馬來西亞一座"聖山"上拍裸照，對山靈不敬，因此導致所在山峯發生地震。

At least 16 people died in the 5.9-magnitude quake on Mount Kinabalu in eastern Sabah state Friday.

沙巴州東部的基納巴盧山5日發生5.9級地震，至少16人在地震中喪生。

"There is almost certainly a connection. We have to take this as a reminder that local beliefs and customs are not to be disrespected," said Sabah's Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

沙巴州首席副長官基廷安表示："幾乎可以肯定(這兩者之間)存在聯繫。這就是對我們的警示，不能褻瀆當地的信仰和習俗。"

The tourists will be banned from ever coming back to the state before they are allowed to go home, said Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.

旅遊文化環境部長曼朱稱，這些遊客在被允許回國前，將被禁止再次返回沙巴州。
