人類的情感總是相似處，就像是英語裏也有很多表達思念的短語。
有趣的是，它們很多都有着“渴望”的含義，來看看唄。
1. think of
它的本義是“想出；發明”。
We'll have to think of a pretty good excuse for being late.
我們得想一個很好的遲到的藉口。
think of也可以表示“想念”。
To think of you makes me old.
思君令人老。
She could think of nothing but Edward Craddock.
她一心只思念着愛德華·克雷杜克。
2. be concerned with/about
concerned做形容詞表示“擔心的；憂慮的；掛念的”。
I'm a bit concerned about/for your health.
我有點擔心你的健康。
I am concerned with you terribly!
我好想你！
3. cherish the memory of
cherish the memory of one's dead mother
懷念先母
I shall evermore cherish the memory of the patriotic poet.

4. long for
大家都瞭解long的形容詞意思，它也有動詞含義“渴望…；渴望做…”。
She longed to see him again.

5. languish for
languish表示“受苦，經歷苦難，受煎熬”，languish for的含義是“因渴望而苦惱”。

6. sigh for
sigh意思是“嘆息；惋惜”，在我們思念對方而又無法相見的時候，也是會常常哀嘆吧。
Spring Festival is drawing Chinese students abroad sigh for home and friends.
春節將至，海外的中國留學生思念家鄉和朋友。
The old man sighed for the good old days.
老人十分思念過去的美好日子。
7. pine for
這個短語表示“渴望得到…；苦苦思念”。
He's still pining for his ex-girlfriend.
他還在苦苦地思念着他的前女友。
值得一提的是，pine作動詞也表示“消瘦；憔悴；衰弱”，有沒有爲伊消得人憔悴的feel！
8. yearn for/after
Despite his great commercial success he still yearns for critical approval.

魂牽夢繞
【釋義】形容萬分思念。
【出處】宋·劉過《醉太平》詞：“思君憶君，魂牽夢縈，翠銷香暖雲屏，更哪堪酒醒。”
【翻譯】I yearn for you by day and dream of you at night. 我很想你，魂牽夢繞。
一日三秋
【釋義】一天不見面，就像過了三個季度。形容思念人的心情非常迫切。
【出處】《詩經·王風·采葛》“彼采葛兮，一日不見，如三日兮！彼採蕭兮，一日不見，如三秋兮！彼採艾兮，一日不見，如三歲兮！”

朝思暮想
【釋義】從早到晚思念不已。形容非常想念或經常想着某一件事。
【出處】宋·柳永《傾杯樂》詞：“朝思暮想，自家空恁添情瘦。”明·馮夢龍《警世恆言》卷二十四：“再說沈洪自從中秋夜見了玉姐，到如今朝思暮想，廢寢忘餐。”
