希思羅機場安放“全球香”設備,猜猜中國是什麼味道
Nothing evokes a sense of place like the heady waft of a familiar smell.
沒有什麼比似曾相識的味道更能引起人們對某個地方的感覺了。And passengers travelling from Heathrow'sTerminal 2 can now be transported to across the world in a single sniff.
任何旅客途如今只要經過希思羅機場二號航站樓都可以通過聞一聞而環遊世界了。
To celebrate the completion of its newlyreinvigorated terminal, the airport has installed a'scent globe' which shootsout the smell of its most fragrant destinations, intending to 'take passengerson a sensory journey before even setting foot on their flights'.
爲了慶祝航站樓翻修工作的完成，該機場安裝了一個“全球香”設備，可噴射出最芬芳目的地的味道，讓旅客在踏上航班之前就可以在感官上進行一次旅行。
Perched in the departure lounge, the orb offers curious globetrotters whiffs ofThailand, South Africa, Japan,China and Brazil. The selection were chosenfor their popularity with Heathrow air passengers.
這個設備安放於候機室，可是釋放出泰國，南非，日本，中國以及巴西的味道。之所以選擇這5個國家，是因爲從希思羅機場出發的乘客中去的最多的國家就是這5個。
To conjure up the essence of the five nations, Heathrow worked with Design inScent, to produce tailor-made scents from ingredients associated with thedesignated country.
爲了集合這5個國家的精華，希思羅機場同Design in Scent機構合作，利用與這些國家相關的材料製作出了這些量身定製的香味South Africa's smell captures the adventure of safari with notes of tribalincense, wild grass and musky animalics through the scent of Hyraceum (a rocklike substance made from the excrement of the Capehyrax).
南非的特點是遊獵探險的氣息，部落的味道，野草以及蹄兔香（一種石頭一樣的物質，由蹄兔的糞便構成）While Brazil's scent oozes richrainforest fauna with a palette of coffee, tobacco and jasmine.
而巴西的味道則是熱帶動物羣，以及咖啡，菸草和茉莉花。Japan is brought to lifethrough cool, oceanic tones with a mix of seaweed and shell extracts, green teaand Ambergris, capturing the essence of coastal villages synonymous with thegreat Pacific Island.
日本則充滿了海洋的氣息，海草以及貝殼提取物的味道，綠茶，以及龍涎香。
According to the HeathrowAirport website: 'China's mystical temple incense and subtleOsmanthus Fragrans flower create an orient explosion' and 'Thailand tantalises the taste budswith an appetising mix of lemongrass, ginger and coconut'.
而中國則是神祕的寺院香，以及淡淡的桂花香。而泰國則是檸檬草，生薑和椰子香。Normand Boivin, Chief Operating Officer atthe airport said: 'Heathrow connects the UK to 180 destinations in 28countries and carries over 72 million passengers a year.
該機場的首席運營官稱：希思羅機場將英國同28個國家的180個目的地相連接，每年運送旅客7200萬人。
